Servers — AION 2
AION 2 global servers are grouped by region and named faction pairing. Europe has four listed pairs, while North America West, North America East, and Latin America and Asia each have a regional entry. The rule that matters at character creation is one faction per server: Siel / Israphel is a pairing, not an invitation to place both factions on one server. Filter by region before choosing a home for a group.
| Region | Faction pair | Rule |
|---|---|---|
| Europe | Siel / Israphel | one faction per server |
| Europe | Nezekan / Zikel | one faction per server |
| Europe | Vaizel / Triniel | one faction per server |
| Europe | Kaisinel / Lumiel | one faction per server |
| North America West | Siel / Israphel | one faction per server |
| North America East | Nezekan / Zikel | one faction per server |
| Latin America and Asia | Siel / Israphel | one faction per server |
Read the regional matrix
AION 2 / 01AION 2 has seven current global server pairs. Europe includes Siel / Israphel, Nezekan / Zikel, Vaizel / Triniel, and Kaisinel / Lumiel. North America West uses Siel / Israphel, North America East uses Nezekan / Zikel, and Latin America and Asia uses Siel / Israphel. Repeated names are not duplicates: the region is part of the server choice and identifies the service grouping you are evaluating. Compare the region before treating a repeated server name as the same playable destination.
Filter by region to compare the named pairs without guessing at server status. The faction pairing and one-faction rule stay the same within each regional choice. If you compare Europe and North America, read a repeated server name in its regional context rather than as one universal population. This keeps a friend group from planning around a name while overlooking the service region.
Choose region first, pair second, and faction rule third. Server names alone do not promise queue time, population, language, or permanent capacity; those operational properties can change. Check the current client before committing to a home for the group.
The one-faction-per-server rule
AION 2 / 02Each server allows one faction. In practical terms, a group should agree on the side it will play before creating characters, because a server pairing such as Siel / Israphel represents the two named sides in the regional arrangement rather than a permission to put both factions on one server. That rule changes how a server decision works: it is not only a geographic label. Make the faction decision before character creation, not after the group has split across sides.
This matters for friends, guilds, and returning players. Write down the region and target faction, then verify current availability in the client. If the group starts in different regions, the same character names do not solve the service split. If a pairing or availability changes later, compare the current client with the named regional pair instead of assuming an old post is still a live operating rule.
The one-faction constraint also connects to PvP. Abyss is a faction-war space, Spacetime Rift uses a race-based rule, and Chaotic Abyss splits at the server level into West or East. Server selection is therefore not separate from the game’s competitive identity: it establishes the side through which a player enters the shared conflict.
A short server checklist
AION 2 / 03Start with your physical region and the storefront path used for the global Windows PC service. Next, compare the named pairings. Finally, decide which faction the group will use and confirm the client’s current selection state. This three-step check answers most “AION 2 server” and “AION 2 servers” searches without mixing server names with unverified population or ranking claims.
If you are following a launch guide, separate the global service from KR/TW regional history and earlier milestones. Historical region names can appear in older articles because the game had a regional service before the global date. That history is useful context, but it is not a reason to assume that a regional pairing, faction rule, or schedule is identical everywhere.
After choosing a server, handle the class and combat decision separately: compare the eight-class roster, then apply the combat principles to the chosen activity. The server choice answers where the character belongs; the class and activity choices answer how you will play. Recheck both when a new version changes a pairing.
For a group, write the choice as region, pair, faction, and character plan. Keep Europe separate even when a server name repeats in North America West or Latin America and Asia. Discuss the one-faction rule before creating characters because the server decision affects the side on which the group enters faction conflict. Confirm live availability in the client, then use the named pair for the stable region and faction context. A four-line plan is enough to catch the common mistake: choosing a familiar server name without checking the region or faction. It also gives returning players a quick way to compare an old character plan with the live selection screen before inviting friends. If the group changes region, revisit the pair and faction together rather than changing only the character name. Keep the same four lines in a group message so every player can verify the decision before creating a character. Confirm the faction one more time at character creation, because that is the point where a shared plan becomes a playable side.
